The 1958-1960 Commission Book
The coloured photographs in the picture gallery above, were donated by a Richard Allum, whose father was serving with the Royal Artillery in Freetown and took the photographs.

These photographs have been re-edited by Richard and sent to me on a CD, so many thanks Richard.

So, now I would like to hear of anyone who can identify the Boats Crew pictured?  Sadly, no response to date.....

The above article kindly sent in by Julian Best.

Odd how this article never mentions the previous Commission which was the last East Indies Commission, we of the 1957-58 Commission, having closed the Station down from Basra to Trincomalee, and this last Commission was just a jolly to say the least and a Flag waving exercise at most, to say nothing of the demise of the Ship following some foolish manouevours in getting into Grand Harbour at the near end of this Cruise....
